I read this book because it got so popular in my country in 2010. And that book now is in my TOP 10 very near 1 place. I also watched movie many times and I couldn't hold my anger and tears reading and seeing such things. This book completely took my heart and made me thinking about how women were abused in Middle Ages. Joane did very good thing that she faught for her life and dreams. I think all women in the world must read this book and understand that WOMAN CANNOT BE UNDER FOOT OF MAN!! In fact I would be very very happy if females could become priests and popes. World would be better in no time.

Maybe some people call this book very feministic, but I'm myself a 100% feminist and this book is my bible.

In any cases I really loved this book. It is one of my favorites. And because I am such huge fan of this book, my Lithuanian teacher let me not read stupid Lithuanian authors in school because she was also huge fan of Pope Joane and we had nice talks after classes about this book. And in fact this I used this book as example in my Lithuanian exam, and I got BEST MARK. I used this book as an example in many of my articles in school. It fit to ALL themes I had to write. Very universal book that helped me get very great marks. It is one of my biggest treasures in my library.
